COVID-19: Informations importantes pour votre séjour dans notre hôtel

Ladies and gentlemen,
dear guests,

We take your safety and well-being, as well as the one of our employees, as our utmost priority; therefore we have implemented and adhere to the highest standards of safety, hygiene and disinfection to address COVID-19 in collaboration with international medical experts and following the recommendations of the Robert-Koch Institute and the current Corona ordinance of the federal state of Saarland. Please note that the federal regulations are subject to constant change, therefore all information on this website is without guarantee. We try to keep the information as up-to-date as possible.

An overview of our measures to ensure the safety of our guests and employees in the different hotel areas:


General

Who is authorised to stay at our hotel?

Persons who are (fully) vaccinated, recovered or (negatively) tested are authorised to travel. The test certificate must not be older than 48 hours. No retesting is required during stays of multiple days.

Children up to the age of 5.9 years are exempt from these rules.

Is the wearing of a mask mandatory in the hotel?

Yes, a surgical mask must be worn at all times in all public hotel areas.

Is there the possibility of digital contact tracing?

Yes, digital contact tracing in our hotel is carried out via the luca app.

 

Further measures taken by the hotel:

  • Disinfectant dispensers are available in all public hotel areas.
  • Public areas are cleaned and disinfected with increased frequency.
  • To protect both guests and employees, the front desk is fitted with plexiglass panes.
  • Access to the reception area and lifts is limited to a certain amount of people. For more information, please refer to the signage on site.
  • The Mercure Hotel Saarbrücken Süd has been certified by the SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS GMBH as part of the COVID-19 conformity audit.

Gastronomy

Breakfast

We currently offer an extended continental breakfast in compliance with the currently valid hygiene regulations. All food items are individually packaged. Egg dishes and bacon are freshly prepared and served to the table upon order. No reservations required.

Breakfast offer:

  • selection of freshly baked bread and bread rolls
  • fruit
  • yoghurt
  • cereals
  • selection of cold cuts and cheeses
  • upon order: egg dishes and bacon

Breakfast times: daily 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

Dinner

We offer à-la-carte dinner for both hotel guests and external visitors at our restaurant again. External visitors must present either proof of full vaccination or recovery or a negative antigen test and book a table in advance to access the restaurant. These requirements do not apply to hotel guests.

Restaurant opening hours:

daily 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Hotel bar & summer terrace

Also our hotel bar and the terrace are open again. For external visitors, the same access requirements apply as in the restaurant. Our à la carte menu is also available here.

daily 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Room service

We are happy to serve you breakfast in your hotel room between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Half board

Half board is not available.

Meetings & Events

Please note that due to the current situation our meeting room capacities are restricted to a maximum 2-72 people per room, depending on the room size. Lunch and coffee breaks are served on individual plates or individually packed.
